Kino is undoubtedly one of the leading lights of Yoga in the world today –to be able to study directly with her is an amazing opportunity for any yoga student. This workshop will be Kino’s only UK workshop in 2020.

During the lunch breaks on all 3 days we will have the wonderful Chris Davies Orchestra providing chilled Indian musical vibes.



9am-11.30am. Ashtanga Yoga Full Primary Series

Surrender to the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method and have fun along the journey. Experience the integrity and purity of the Ashtanga Yoga practice and be  prepared to sweat.


1pm-3.30pm.Hip to Be Square: Love, Accept and Open Your Hips 

Accessing the deep release and openness that hip rotation requires is a unique combination of anatomical knowledge and inner peace. Join this class to learn the right information and, more importantly, the right frame of mind to hip opening from. Gain access to the deep muscles within the pelvis and learn to relax and release your hips.

Be ready for a deep journey into the inner body complete with a detailed muscular and skeletal technique and the subtle body of emotions and energy. Learn how to create the safe space of patience, kindness and tolerance in the deepest regions of the pelvis and watch your hips open.

4pm -5.30pm. Meditation and Q&A

To end each session on all three days Kino will teach a meditation and then lead a group Q&A session – feel free to ask questions on all things Ashtanga.


9am-11.30am. Intro to Second Series

Ashtanga Yoga’s Second Series, called Nadi Shodhana, works to cleanse the nervous system through a series of rigorous strength, backbending, twisting and hip opening postures. This class makes the challenging postures of the Intermediate series accessible and approachable to all interested practitioners.

The inspired beginner will find easy, fun and approachable techniques to some of Ashtanga yoga’s most challenging postures, while the avid practitioner and seasoned veteran will find new techniques to inspire their practice to new levels of precision. Prior experience with Ashtanga yoga recommended.

1pm-3.30pm. Handstand Lovers

No matter how long you practice handstand is a benchmark of strength and steadiness that transcends physical disciplines. From yoga to martial arts to gymnastics a stable handstand is the key test of alignment and mastery. The only thing you need to join this class is a love of handstands.

Whether you are a total beginner or have a stable handstand you will learn tools to build strength and alignment while balancing on your hands.  Leave with a strength building program that you can do every day to develop the physical and emotional strength to support your handstanding journey.

4pm-5:30 PM. Meditation and Q&A

To end each session on all three days Kino will teach a meditation and then lead a group Q&A session – feel free to ask questions on all things Ashtanga.


9am-11.30am. Yoga Drills

Join this 2.5 hours strength and flexibility journey if you want to laugh, have fun and share the warm heart of yoga with Kino. Start off with a short meditation and then dive into a full-on practice for all levels. From shoulders to core, hips to backbends, your body and mind will be in a yoga bootcamp.

If you practice with Kino online and join her sessions on Periscope and YouTube, you will know exactly what to expect!  There is something for everyone here, from beginner to advanced yogi. All you need to join is an open heart and a playful spirit.

1pm-3.30pm. Twist into Your Center

Deep twisting increases energy levels, cleanses the body and opens the mind to new levels of awareness. Find the perfect balance between activation and release in this new approach to twisting. Learn healthy technique to increase flexibility in your spine and shoulders while creating solid foundation in your pelvis.

Use the core strength of the body to support the twisting and extension. You will have fun with many levels of twists and even use the twisting position to enter some challenging arm balances!

4pm-5:30 PM. Meditation and Q&A

To end each session on all three days Kino will teach a meditation and then lead a group Q&A session – feel free to ask questions on all things Ashtanga.Book signing and photo opportunities on this session.


£270. ‘Early-Bird’ fee of £230 if booked and paid by 31st January 2020. Individual days £100.

Please note that cancellations within 4 weeks of the event will be subject to a 50 % loss of payment. Total refunds will only be considered in special circumstances. Refunds given outside of the 4 weeks period will be subject to a 20% administration fee.


The Armitage Sports Centre Moseley Rd, Manchester M14 6HE, UK. There is considerable parking on site.


Over the years we’ve been happy to advise students on where to stay but with the introduction of Air B&B in the last few years we’ve found this site to be the best place on where to find the best deals.


Please bring your own lunch – there are some shops and restaurants within close proximity to the venue.
