Mid-weight Graphic Designer

Title: Mid-weight Graphic Designer
Role/Sector: E-Commerce
Reports to: E-Commerce Website Manager
Location: Hybrid with Wednesday and Thursday in Central London Office
Experience Level: 2-4 years

 

Job Purpose:

As our Mid-weight Graphic Designer, you’ll work on a day to day basis with team members across the business. Your responsibilities will include creating visually compelling and user-friendly website layouts as well as producing high-quality visual assets such as banners, videos and infographics.  

Collaborating with the E-commerce Team, you’ll design visually appealing and on-brand email templates, incorporating best practices for effective email design. You'll stay updated with the latest email design trends, applying new techniques to keep our email communications fresh and effective whilst maintaining a library of reusable email design assets. 

For paid marketing, you'll design impactful ad creatives for various digital advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube. Your focus will be on creating ads that capture attention, drive clicks, and convert leads while adhering to best practices for ad design and compliance.

As well as the above, you will also collaborate with the Brand Engagement Team to develop content to support our organic social media and from time to time you’ll provide ad hoc design support to other areas of the business as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Your role is integral to ensuring the brand messages and design aesthetic are consistent across all touch points, and you will be responsible for delivering a high volume of creatives in order to help achieve our ambitious commercial targets.
  • Create engaging graphics and visuals for email campaigns, ensuring consistency with our overall brand aesthetic.
  • Design user-friendly, responsive website layouts that follows UI/UX best practices
  • Maintain a library of reusable email design assets to streamline the email creation process
  • Produce high-quality visual assets such as banners, videos, infographics, and interactive elements to support campaigns
  • Design impactful ad creatives for various digital advertising platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube
  • Retouch and enhance imagery to ensure high-quality visual standard to be used across various channels
  • Develop content that supports and enhances community engagement, this includes creating eye-catching posts, stories, and cover images
  • Deliver on-trend design that reflects the company’s ethics, values & mission in a voice that speaks to our customer demographic
  • This is a very hands-on role for a smart, solution-seeking designer who looks at the big picture as well as the details.

What you’ll have

Essential:

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
  • Good video editing skills
  • Strong sense of design principles, typography, layout, attention to detail, and conceptual skills
  • Proficient in wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma or equivalent).
  • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce CMS platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating clear design thinking and problem solving.
  • 2+ years design experience for a consumer product brand (or close equivalent)
  • Graphic Design degree or equivalent qualifications

Advantageous:

  • Basic experience of Klaviyo or similar email marketing software.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic front-end development
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and experience designing for user-centred interfaces
  • Experience using After Effects or similar motion graphics software.
  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up/fast growing e-commerce business.
  • Interest in Yoga, Fitness and wellbeing is a bonus!
