DESTINATIONS & ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS

GREATER WINDHOEK

Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is encircled by magnificent mountains, expansive valleys, fertile farmlands, lodges and luxury guest farms. We can explore the dry river beds and mountainous scrublands, as well as enjoy birding, leopard-spotting and view large quantities of wildlife. We will partake on an afternoon game drive on the GocheGanas Nature Reserve with a lodge guide. There is also an incredible Wellness Centre for treatments.

NAMIB TSARIS CONSERVANCY:

The 24 000-hectare Namib Tsaris Conservancy is tucked between the Namib and Tsaris mountains. The conservancy and the surrounding area provides a vital refuge for wildlife through the dry season. This rehabilitated area is home to an array of indigenous wildlife including: oryx, springbok, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, Burchell’s zebra, kudu, hartebeest, giraffe, steenbok, klipspringer, bat-eared fox, as well as predators such as leopard, cheetah and hyena.

We’ll take our private safari vehicles through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before heading down the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert below, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location.

SWAKOPMUND:

Set along Namibia's spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and its surrounding otherworldly desert terrain. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences and cool sea breeze make it a very popular destination.

We will get to enjoy the awesome and ever changing desert landscapes of the Namib Desert, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons as we head to the famous coast.

DAMARALAND:

This vast desert landscape is known as one of the most beautiful regions in Namibia. We will take in the dramatic vistas, catch a glimpse of the rare desert-adapted elephant, and enjoy spectacular stargazing in crystal-clear night skies. Our guides will take us on a scenic drive via ephemeral river systems in search of desert-adapted elephants.

The wildlife roams large tracks of unfenced desert landscapes and we will be guided through this untouched gem of Namibia. A highlight includes the opportunity to go on a totally exclusive excursion to track for the elusive black rhino that inhabit this area.

ETOSHA WEST:

Etosha West is a new addition to this world-famous wildlife sanctuary. We can look forward to exploring the magnificent scenery of this remote north Namibian landscape. The area boasts numerous waterholes attracting elephant, rhino, leopard, lion, and a variety of buck. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the rare Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra and black-faced impala.

ETOSHA EAST:

Etosha East is a protected sanctuary and known as one of the most accessible game reserves in Southern Africa. This 5000-square-kilometre Etosha salt pan makes up a large area of the the park and can even be seen from space. This remote area teems with abundant wildlife such as lions, elephants, black rhinos and giraffes, as well as a variety of birdlife featuring flamingos, ostriches, eagles, hornbills, and owls.
