Brand Engagement Manager

--- Your role ---

Do you have strong project management skills? Are you a keen marketer with a passion for driving organic and community-led brand engagement? Do you thrive on motivating a team to achieve targets with your great communication skills?

Reporting to the Founder (who remains responsible the Brand Marketing & Creative functions of the business), this role will focus on coordinating and maximising available resources to drive brand awareness, engagement and sales across multiple but very focused organic marketing channels in order to drive and support growth in a global e-commerce business within very much a hands-on, agile and ‘start-up’ team structure and working environment.

 

As Brand Engagement Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities: 

  • Theme & campaign coordination across teams – this includes chairing and writing up agreed actions from campaign planning calls/meetings with our Founder and our Content Writer and supporting the process of the Founder giving creative briefs to be to our Design team; using (and evolving) an efficient prescribed format for looping other teams as necessary into marketing and brand engagement activities around specific campaigns and in between them.
  • Posting of content on Social media – managing and executing a shared team workload to post approved content on social media with optimal frequency and quality to drive maximum organic brand engagement with most efficient use of available resources. (Note: our e-commerce team separately covers all paid social media and other paid digital advertising, as well as e-mail marketing, affiliates, loyalty, CRO etc.)
  • PR – manage and update PR objectives/priorities and coordinate with and motivate our external PR agency to maximise results; regular reporting on performance of our PR activities against strategic goals.
  • Manage and oversee the handling of incoming marketing requests/enquiries; handling directly more complex or higher value engagements; updating and evolving protocols to keep this most efficient and valuable.
  • Charity Partnerships; manage these relationships together with our Founder.
  • Reporting – regular reporting on Brand Engagement KPIs based on strategic goals; helping to evolve the same over time to maintain and improve efficiency, focusing always on what’s truly valuable.
  • Line managing our Brand Engagement Executive, who will support on the above areas.
  • Line managing our Ambassador & Influencer manager and overseeing their role, which is focused on ambassadors/influencers but also includes some general shared responsibilities to support the small and close-knit Brand Engagement team 

This is a highly collaborative, and very hands-on role for a marketer who is passionate about delivering projects that drive results, is able to zoom in to focus on what’s really necessary to deliver optimal results from available resources and to multi-task and manage and organise a constantly evolving workflow.

--- What you’ll have ---

Essential key skills/experience:

  • At least 3-5+ years’ experience in marketing/brand engagement, and at least 1+ years experience of line management
  • Proven experience of successful project management and organisation of workflows, and the ability to translate verbal ideas and discussions into logical, simple and ‘easy to follow’ project/campaign briefs.
  • Good general awareness of commerciality behind branding, design and brand engagement.
  • Highly personable character and ability to form great working relationships and negotiate successful outcomes
  • Calm demeanour and ability to cope well with pressure, with diligence and discretion
  • Excellent written communication and good analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritising to always deliver on-time, in-full.

 

Advantageous:

  • An interest in fitness, wellness and/or Yoga.
  • Experience working in a start-up or fast growing e-commerce business.
  • Experience in working in the health and fitness, wellness and/or yoga industry.
