The value of incorporating immediate, intuitive, visual alignment feedback into your Yoga practice cannot be overstated.
Liforme wasn’t the first to realise this, but we were the first to perfect a Yoga mat alignment system that really works. Previous attempts with grids, circles, and footprints were limiting due to varying body sizes, styles and alignment philosophies in Yoga. Our goal has always been flexibility. An alignment guide that works for all bodies, all types of Yoga, levels, whether in class or at home. When we debuted Liforme’s AlignForMe® design, it looked like no other Yoga mat.
Many imitators have appropriated the elements that make up our distinctive look: a vertical line down the centre, horizontal lines at both ends, 45-degree lines, and reverse points. Before 2013, there were no Yoga mats that looked like ours. Now they are everywhere. That’s how you know we changed the game.

When Liforme was established, most Yoga mats were made from PVC, a material that is highly ill-suited to Yoga: due to its slippery surface, quick deterioration, and inefficient biodegradability. Liforme set out to create a mat that is biodegradable, PVC-free, doesn’t harm the planet or your body, and provides the optimal blend of comfort, stability, and grip. This five-year process required a complete rethinking of existing Yoga mat materials and extensive testing and reformulating until we achieved the optimal balance between performance and sustainability.

CleanGrip® Technology
We created an innovative, game-changing combination of materials which delivers the ultimate grip whilst keeping your mat hygienic at the very same time. Liforme’s base layer takes advantage of the stability and renewability of plant based natural rubber. Our very thin top layer is a smooth, cushiony, proprietary eco-polyurethane. In between, our patented CleanGrip® non-absorbent barrier layer bonds without toxic glues and allows the sweat and moisture to quickly evaporate from the top surface, providing the most grippy, comfortable and hygienic solution.
