How the AlignForMe® Alignment Lines Work

Our alignment system is made up of five simple elements, each with a job to do:

• Central line: runs the length of the mat so you can check your set-up is symmetrical in poses such as Mountain Pose and Downward Dog.
• End-to-end lines: reference points for hand and foot placement, with two sets so the mat works for different heights.
• 45° lines: guide your back heel into position in standing poses such as the Warrior series.
• Reverse points: triangular markers that help you find shoulder-width and hip-width distance for your hands and feet.
• Centrepiece: a central anchor point that supports balance and stability.

The guides are a visual reference, not a replacement for a good teacher. What they do well is give you something consistent to look at between classes, so good habits carry over into your home practice.

Things to Consider When Buying a Yoga Mat With Alignment Lines
