Sometimes we can all feel like we have lost our way, or just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. But there is always a way back to the light.
We asked Yoga Master Sri Dharma Mittra this important question: ‘in darker times, how can Yoga help us all see and experience the Light?’ Here is his answer:
“If the conditions allow us to, at least be vegetarian and observe Yama (the ethical rules and first step of yoga). Then I think that it’s possible to see and experience the Light because the mind will be fit to reflect upon Self Knowledge. Also, one should always remember the Laws of Karma. Everything we are passing through is a result of our deeds from the past. As such, everything we are currently experiencing is the exact medicine we need to make progress towards Self-realization.”
Yoga Master Sri Dharma Mittra founded one of the early independent schools of yoga in the west in 1975 and has taught hundreds of thousands the world over in the years since. He is the model and creator of The Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures, the author of ‘ASANAS: 608 Yoga Poses and the Dharma Yoga Life of a Yogi Teachers’ Manual, has released two DVDs to date – Maha Sadhana Levels I and II and recent captured practices are available for streaming via CodyApp.com. Sri Dharma is a headliner for major conferences, yoga festivals and at well-known retreat institutes both nationally and internationally.
