    Three and a Half Acres Yoga, a transformative force in trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness is seeking your support to fund scholarships for the BIPOC community for our 20-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training program, aiming to diversify the yoga teacher space and empower instructors with the knowledge to create safer spaces for vulnerable communities.

    Overview of the Training:
    Our comprehensive program is designed for yoga teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of trauma and enhance their teaching skills. Grounded in evidence-based practices rooted in the latest neuroscience, the training covers essential topics such as defining and recognizing trauma, regulating the nervous system through yoga, and specific practices for grounding and centering which ultimately give agency and power back to the participant. The program is open to yoga teachers with a 200-hour certification or more, providing them with proven impactful curriculum and practices for trauma survivors.

    Program Highlights:
    Trauma Awareness: Trainees explore how to define and recognize trauma, fostering a deep understanding.
    Mind/Body System: Understanding the impact of trauma on the mind/body system.
    Teaching Methodology: Developing a trauma-informed teaching style and methodology.

    Practical Techniques: Teaching yoga from a chair, unconventional spaces, and mindfulness practices.
    Self-Care and Awareness: Emphasizing self-care for the trauma-informed yoga teacher.
