We are proud to pledge our official support to Yoga Gives Back, a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness and funds to alleviate poverty in India. Yoga Gives Back was founded by Kayoko Mitsumatsu in 2007 after she was inspired by a film she was making about microfinancing to find a way for the global yoga community to help empower people in India who lack the means to build sustainable livelihoods.
Yoga Gives Back’s initiatives now help provide loans to poor mothers, send orphans and young girls to school, and fund higher education opportunities for young adults. By joining YGB’s Million Yogi Campaign, Yogis around the world can make a difference to real people in Yoga’s Motherland.

Yoga Gives Back supports programs that provide small loans to women who are otherwise excluded from the conventional banking and financial systems. By partnering with local NGOs in India, YGB has grown to assist over 1200 mothers and children with micro-loan programs and educational funds with a minimum 5-year commitment to each person.
Through our official partnership to Yoga Gives Back, we are committed to helping them raise significant funding for their life-changing projects. And we are also providing resources and support to help them spread their global reach and advance their goal of raising awareness and funds to alleviate poverty in India.
Want to get involved? Join Yoga Gives Back's cornerstone #onemillionyogis campaign, which aims to unite Yogis around the world to empower women and children in India. The goal is for one million Yogis to come together to provide economic and academic opportunities to impoverished people in the birthplace of Yoga. Get involved here.
"I want Liforme to be a leading example of how a business can be socially responsible. Our partnership with Yoga Gives Back offers us the chance to meaningfully support a wonderful organisation that is already doing amazing work to counter poverty in India. Think what we’ll be able to accomplish when one million yogis come together!"- James Armitage,
